This project is located in the heart of an emerging Northeast Portland neighborhood on a prominent south facing corner. This 14-unit condominium expresses its compact and sliver-like geometry. Positioned in the middle of an EXd zone mixed-use zone, this composition maximizes its envelope while carving out a small intimate courtyard that embraces the tall existing tree while also responding to its urban outer faces with strong graphic moments of composition. The modest cost per SF budget examines prefabricated structural systems and panelized exterior cladding for stretching the budget and speeding up erection time.
