The main entrance level houses the kitchen, dining area, main living room and alley garage. The 1910 vintage structure is maintained throughout with carefully crafted elements inserted into the space creating new environments and functional living space using natural materials such as concrete, wood, glass and stainless steel. The industrial detailing is in keeping with the rawness of the existing structure sympathetic to the touch combining surfaces that juxtapose rough/smooth-light/heavy. The ceiling is a destressed metal panel that floats above the rough sawn exposed timber acting as a veiled light fixture to the space below.
